Since 2003, refugees fleeing the genocidal violence in Sudan’s western province of Darfur have been pouring over the border into camps in eastern Chad. There they remain, in bleak surroundings, robbed of hope. Some of them have been in the camps for as long as eight years.
The One World Futbol Project has teamed up with Darfur United, which is bringing soccer equipment to each of the 12 camps and setting up a united team to represent the displaced people of Darfur to bring the camps together.
You can send a message of hope to the people of Darfur – and bring the joy of play into the lives of children and young people in the camps – by helping us ship One World Futbols to Darfur United.
